Laboratory visit by mobility students from Shinshu University (Japan)

On 21 September 2016, Go Ikeuchi and Yuki Ito from Shinshu University, Japan visited Motion Control Research Lab.

Go Ikeuchi and Yuki Ito are undergraduate student. Currently they are undergoing the mobility program under University Putra Malaysia (UPM). Today is their last day in UTeM, therefore the person-in-charge bring them to visit all research labs in Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FKE) in UTeM. Researchers in Motion Control Research Lab explain their research field and experimental setup.

Visitor from Curtin University Sarawak Malaysia (3~6 May 2016)

On 03 May 2016 to 06 May 2016, a visitor from Curtin University Sarawak Malaysia visited Motion Control Research Lab.

Thibault Cayphas from University of Mons (UMons), Belgium who now in his second year of Master study in Electrical Engineering – Biosystems. Currently he study in Curtin University Sarawak Malaysia to complete his master thesis with the title of Modeling and Controlling PMA for a Medical Purpose. He has finished the modeling of a simple PMA. His goal was to apply the PMA model in a knee-rehabilitation machine. The objective of his visit in Malacca is to identify the parameters of the PMA.

PERKESO Rehabilitation Centre Visit (4 March 2016)

On 4th March 2016, a group of students from Motion Control Research Laboratory visited the PERKESO Rehabilitation Center located at Lot PT 7263, Bandar Hijau, Hang Tuah Jaya, Melaka. The rehabilitation center provides various services including physiotherapy, optometry and speech rehabilitation, occupational therapy, vocational rehabilitation and robotic therapy. Each of these services targets on helping disabled PERKESO contributors to recover themselves and return them to workplace. This visit aims at giving the students insight in the available rehabilitation facilities and routines, such that future researches on physical rehabilitation can be further explored.
